Let me teach you thankfulness. Begin by acknowledging that everything – all your possessions and all that you are – belongs to Me. The dawning of each new day is a gift from Me not to be taken for granted. The earth is vibrantly alive with My blessings, giving vivid testimony to My Presence. If you slow down your pace of life, you can find Me anywhere.
Some of My most precious children have been laid aside in sick beds or shut away in prisons. Others have voluntarily learned the discipline of spending time alone with Me. The secret of being tha kful is learning to see everything from My perspective. My world is your classroom. My Word is a lamp to your feet and a light for your path.
Hebrews 12:28 – Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
How does thankfulness come? It comes by acknowledging that all I have obtained, all I have belongs to Christ. He is the reason for all good in my life. Even each new day is a gift.
When I slow down and just give God time, it allows me to see clearly. See through the issues of my day, and feel the presence of God. When I am busy, just taking care of what is important to me, I forget what is important and get wrapped up in my activities. He is always waiting for me.
Psalm 119:105 says that God will show His will for me through his Word. He will guide me and make His way clear in my life.
The key is perspective, and obtaining a Godly perspective daily. Not being wrapped up in my activities of the day, but giving God what He deserves, quality time. He promises so much if I do that.
