“Wait patiently with Me while I bless you. Don’t rush into  My Presence with time-consciousness gnawing at your mind. I dwell in timelessness. Though you are a time-bound creature, seek to meet Me in timelessness. As you focus on My Presence, the demands of time and tasks will diminish. I will bless you and keep you, making My Face shine upon you graciously, giving you Peace.  – Sarah Young

Micah 7:7 – As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.

Revelation 1:8 – “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Numbers 6:24 – 26 –  ‘May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’

Today, Sarah tackles the issue of time, and how we are so limited in our view of time in respect to a God that is timeless. Usually I think of time in relation to God when reflecting how God answers our prayers in His time frame, never ours. Here, we get another aspect of time and God.

She speaks of time in relation  to God’s Presence. Another reason for us to slow down and enjoy God’s Presence in our quiet time. She says “Seek to meet me in timelessness. How practically do I make that happen?

Set some time from my schedule daily to have a devoted session with me and God. Anything can happen in the set time. There is no agenda, and it is quiet. During this time, take at least 5 mins and close my eyes and just sit. No activity, no thinking, just sit and allow God to have me. It may go on longer, but it will last at least 5 minutes.

Though repetition, it should become easier to do, and feel less and less weird. God talks about being still, and we know that he has a “still, small voice”. He is never overbearing. We need to slow our lives down to connect with Him.
