Looking backwards …

If you think back, there are most probably two groups of people that have made you who you are today … those that have hurt you deeply and those that have loved you greatly.

It mattered very little what these people believed, if they were “Christians”, if they followed the rules, etc. It is according to their actions that impacted you .. either positively or negatively.

The way you have been treated has more to do with who you are than what you believe.

Looking forwards …

Your beliefs and obedience matters less than your actions when interacting with others. How will you treat others? You never know when you will make a lasting impact on someone – either positively or negatively.

Perhaps Christ understood this …

I give you a new Law. You are to love each other. You must love each other as I have loved you. 35 If you love each other, all men will know you are My followers.” John 13:34-35

They won’t know we are His followers by our beliefs or our obedience. They will know by our love for each other.

“Christians” use the bible as mace, disciples use it as a mirror.
